Shortlands Golf Club | Welcome to our website

Shortlands Golf Club is conveniently located in a pleasant mature countryside setting close to Bromley and near to Orpington, Beckenham and Biggin Hill in Kent and Croydon in Surrey and is easily reachable from South London. The club dates back to the 19th century and in 2019 we will celebrate having been in existence for 125 years.

In all those years, the course has continued to challenge and delight golfers of all standards in equal measure.

The course rewards the accurate, thoughtful golfer rather than the one can drive the ball the furthest. To score well you need to be straight off the tee because the fairways are narrow with internal out of bounds if you stray too far off line.

The greens are well bunkered and the greens themselves are comparatively small so again accuracy is a necessity with the

This Years Captains Charity is Parkinsons UK

We will be working hard to achieve a greater recognition of the charity Parkinson’s UK, and raising money for this my elected charity during my captaincy. This is a charity dear to the Mens Captain’s heart as sadly, his mother, who was a sufferer of Parkinson’s for a great many years passed away as result some five years ago.

It was an incredibly difficult time and to see one so full of life suffer and change as she did was heart breaking. The charity does a great deal of good; it drives better care, treatments and quality of life. As a result of the incredible work they do no one has to face the fear of Parkinson’s alone.
